Parkway Trail

trail2

The Parkway Trail, the backbone of Nanaimo’s trail system, links Aulds Road in the north to Chase River in the south. This 20 kilometre multi-use paved and tree-lined corridor provides a recreational playground where cyclists and pedestrians can travel safely throughout the community away from vehicular traffic. With convenient access points, route maps and distance markers, the Parkway Trail navigates to popular destinations, including Buttertubs Marsh, Colliery Dam, Bowen Park and the Harbourfront Walkway via the Millstone Trail. The Parkway Trail also provides great connections to Vancouver Island University, Nanaimo Aquatic Centre, Nanaimo Ice Centre, Serauxmen Sports Fields and major shopping centres.
